Brief Description:  Finish Rear Spar Prep

We cleco'd the 707 G and D reinforcing plates to the right rear spar and drilled all holes to #30. Also cleco'd the doubler plates 707E and F to match drill the holes in the top of the doubler to #40. Removed the 707D and G and drilled the holes in the top of the spar flange near the 707G reinforcing fork to #40. Disassembled and deburred all holes, scuffed parts with scotchbrite in preparation for priming. Dimpled holes in top of flange by all reinforcing plates and dimpled the top of the 707E and F. Set up the #30 countersink and contersunk the holes in the end of the 707F for flush rivets under the aileron bracket. Used a piece of 1/4 inch stock to make a backing plate to help center the nose of the countersink. The hole closest to the top was too close for the countersink cage so I started the countersink with a deburring tool and the took the cage off the microstop and finished the countersink freehand, just taking a little off each time.

Repeated the process for the left rear spar.
