Assembled the left elevator end rib and counterbalance rib with the counterweight and skin. Used the holes in the E-713 as a guide and started the #12 holes in the counterweight. Removed the counterweight from the assembly and set it up in the drill press to drill the holes straight through. Re-assembled and then completed drilling through the forward end of the two ribs. This worked much better than trying to drill the holes with the weight in the assembly as I did on the right elevator. Removed the counterweight and reassembled the skeleton. Drilled the root rib to the spar. Put the skin on and drilled the elevator horn to the spar and root rib. Drilled the skin to the skeleton.
