Removed the clecos and the angle aluminum from the rudder trailing edge. Cleco's came out easily and cleaned up residual tank sealant on them with MEK. The wax worked on the angle and it came off easily as well. The dimples on the top side had some sealant in them but the bottom dimples were full of sealant. I used a #40 drill bit with the drill stop on it to clean the sealant out of the dimples and re-cleco'd the trailing edge as I went along. All of the sealant came out of the dimples well and I finished off the cleaning by wiping down both sides of the rudder with MEK. I made a practice rig from flat stock and .016 aluminum sheet to do some trials with double flush riveting. Will use that as a warm up before attempting the actual trailing edge.
