Brief Description: Drilling Horizontal Stab Part 1
Prepared the inner ribs 404 and 405, marked the holes, straightened the ribs and re-inserted them. Clamped the pieces in with cleco side clamps. Drilled the holes in the aft rib and cleco'd as I went. Then drilled the holes in the forward spar. Next step was to drill the 710 and 714 reinforcing angles. My new pieces have not arrived from Van's yet, so I skipped over that and started setting up the right side skeleton. Drilled all rib to spar attach points and am ready to cleco on the skin. The jig has been of some help, but occasionally the processes as described in the plans seem to work better on the bench. I'll keep using the jig where it is helpful, like drilling the skins.
