Measured, marked and drilled the left and right 405 ribs. Cleco'd the skeleton for the left stab and drilled all the rib to spar attach holes to #30. Disassembled, deburred and reassembled. Modified a soldering iron to remove the blue plastic protective material around the holes in the skin. I figured out I was moving the iron too fast which did not completely melt the plastic and left rough edges when I pulled the plastic off. I moved slower and got better results as I progressed. Final step was put the skin on the skeleton and cleco together. Frances came home just in time to help with the skin. Fit the 404 and 405 ribs in place and marked hole locations. Ended today with something that definitely looks like an airplane part!
