Brief Description: Trim Roll Bar Brace, Begin Canopy Latch
The roll bar brace is shipped longer than necessary. Marked for trimming and cut with dremel cutoff wheel. Used the belt sander to remove small amounts until brace just fit between forward fuselage and roll bar. Will finalize length after canopy latch is done and forward fuselage is riveted.
To fit the canopy latch the vertical tube on the canopy frame must be trimmed to fit. Made a mark to cut 1/4 inch on masking tape and cut with dremel. Checked fit and made a second cut same way. Then dressed the end of the cut with files and emory to get latch height right. Used a marker on the latch hook to get an idea where to begin cutting to fit the latch around the locking pin. Took several iterations to get a decent fit.
