Brief Description: Rivet F-790, Begin Holes in Spar
Riveted on the F-790 end caps with pulled rivets per the plans. Had one rivet break the shank a little above the rivet face. Cut off shank with side cutter and smoothed over the end with dremel sanding drum.
Decided to add some extra pass throughs to the main spar. I think these will be useful to get antenna cables away from other wiring. Printed Van's instructions on allowable locations and sizes for holes. I will make them 3/4 inch and run conduit through them. Found my printer made the templates sub-scale, so I used template as starting point to calculate centerlines and estimate area for holes. Planned to stay inside the sub-scale template just to be sure. Made some reference marks on the forward and aft side of spar. Will come back and double check everything before drilling.
