I received the new C-677 brackets from Van's. First task was to figure out how to match drill these to the fuselage. I marked the line on the bottom with dimensions from the plans and the nominal location for the holes. Then I clamped the bracket to the fuselage and came up from underneath using an angle drill and mirrors to mark first hole. Drilled first hole then put a bolt and nut to hold the bracket and clamped again. Drilled second hole from underside. Repeat for other bracket. Moved on to drilling hole in new left anchor block. Marked the compound angle, set up drill press and drilled. Not happy with alignment on this one.
