Enlisted Kevin to help with Sikaflex application. Per Wirejock two people are necessary for this step and he is right. Checked all tape lines to be sure they were all still tight. Practiced dry fit of frame to canopy and wrote out a checklist for each step of the process, including time limits from Sika. Used acid brushes to apply the clear, thin Aktivator, with paper towels handy to catch any drips. Allow to dry per Sika instructions then applied the thicker, black primer. Removed and replaced black tape on canopy. Removed black tape from frame. Applied Sikaflex bead to canopy center and forward and aft edge, leaving gaps for spacers. Put the spacers on the frame and frame in the Sika bead, ensuring it is centered, then inserted the bolt through latch tube. Clamped forward and aft edges at the spacers. Applied Sika to side skirts then clamped sides in place. Walk away for at least 24 hours.
