Brief Description: Prep for Final Turtledeck Riveting
One of the rivet holes in the 706 bulkhead was elongated when I initially tried to fit the trurtledeck. Instead of drilling it larger I elected to make a small doubler and use a longer rivet. I primed the doubler and used a little glue to hold the tab in place for riveting.
I marked the location for the cutout at the top of the baggage bulkhead for the threaded rod on the track support. I used a pilot drill , then opened hole with a step drill. Used dremel cutoff wheel to connect the hole to the edge. Cleaned up edges with files and scotchbrite.
Experimenting with locating the center rib, I clamped on the roll over bar and the windshield support. This did not provide much useful info, but it did look neat.
