Brief Description:  Begin Riveting F-705 to Seat Ribs

The first rib I riveted to F-705 also had a baggage rib connected at the same point. This provided a difficult situation as getting tools into the junction pushed things out of alignment. I decided to use the squeezer to set these rivets. With careful work the first rib went well, with three good rivets and flush flanges on both sides.

The first (middle) rivet in the second rib clenched. Removed rivet and tried a second time with same result. Elected to replace the solid rivet with a Cherrymax which worked well. The top rivet was causing alignment issues for the squeezer, so I elected to use a Cherrymax here as well. Bottom rivet set easily with the squeezer. I flipped the center section upside down to improve access to the bottom rivets.

Riveted the seat ribs with no corresponding baggage rib easily using the squeezer, same for baggage ribs with no seat ribs. Did some rivets with the center section upright, some with it flipped upside down.
