Brief Description: Finish Platenuts, Begin Riveting Seat Ribs to F-70
Completed installing the platenuts on the seat ribs. Prepared to rivet the ribs on the aft section of F-704. First tried the 704 on two 4x4s and clamped to the bench, with the gun and bucking bar but this orientation allowed too much movement in the part and had a bad rivet. Removed rivet and changed to have the F-704 vertical and this worked much better. After I riveted the rib I installed the nuts and bolts per the plans. Did three more ribs in this orientation and rivets all came out well. Some difficulty with the ribs trying to push the gun off the rivet, so I changed rivet orientation and put factory head on forward side. This worked well.
