Brief Description: Prime Skin, Rivet F-704, Rivet Platenuts
The skin is too big for the paint table, so I primed it with NAPA 7220 on sawhorses in the driveway. Used the squeezer to dimple the bottom flange of the F-704. Set up the F-704 forward section to rivet on the F-704C left and right angles. Inserted two close tolerance bolts for alignment, then cleco'd all but two holes. Used the gun and bucking bar to rivet. Removed the bolts after six rivets were installed, then finished the rest of the rivets on the left side. Repeated the process for the right side angle.
For the F-704Ds on the aft section of the F-704 I started the same way with bolts and setting rivets, until all the inboard rivets were set. Then I riveted on the F-704G before setting the final three outboard rivets. Repeat process for the other side.
Used the squeezer to dimple the platenuts and began to rivet them on the seat ribs.
