Brief Description: Prep F-711 Bulkhead
|
|
Prepared the F-711A and B bulkheads by edge finishing, cleaning up nooks and crannies with files, emory paper, and scotchbrite. F-711B had many sharp corners on the flange, so I used a small sanding drum on the dremel to round them off, then cleaned up with files and emory. Cut the F-711A and B on the band saw for the elevator pushrod pass through. Cleaned up the edges with files and scotchbrite. Made the F-711C bars and the F-711D angle per the plans. Marked the centerline on the bars and measured out all the holes and distances per the plans. Once I was satified with meeting all the measurements, I drilled the bottom hole in each bar on the drill press, then cleco'd the assembly together and clamped the bars to the bulkhead. Drilled all the holes #30, disassembled, drilled the top two holes on the drill press. Deburred all holes on all parts. Used the belt sander to make angles on the F-711D angle. Initial angle was per the plans, then removed some additional material via several trial fits to make part align at the top of the F-711A. Clamped in place and match drilled to F-711. Deburred all holes.
