Decided to replace the original aluminum cabin heat valve with a stainless steel one. Started by drilling the new box for nutplates, then riveted the nutplates on. Test mounted the new box, firewall holes lined up well, new box is a little narrower, giving more clearance to firewall recess mounting flange.
