Completed drilling the inboard holes for mounting the stab forward spar. With all four bolts started in the holes it was difficult to get them all the way in. I took an angle drill back into the fuselage and ran a 3/16 bit through the holes one at a time from below with three bolts in place. This made it easier to get all the bolts in. Next was to check incidence at zero for the stab. I used my laser level to shoot across the tooling holes in the inboard rib so I could measure the height fore and aft as decribed in the plans. This worked well and with shims in place I clamped the aft spar to the F-711 bars for drilling. Used the #30 holes already in the bars as a drill guide and drilled and cleco'd the four holes. Then upsized the holes and bolted. Recheck incidence and still good. Temporarily connected the elevator pushrods and sat in the cockpit moving elevator up and down. Initial check of elevator movement is 29.8 up and 21.4 down. This may change a bit as I adjust the stops but is within acceptable range from plans Chapter 15.
