Primed the F-789 with NAPA 7220 primer. Hung the tube from a folding ladder, sprayed primer down the inside until it ran out the other end, reversed and sprayed again. Sprayed outside of tube and let dry in the sun.
Made F-790 per plans length. The threaded rod ends were very tight in the tube, so much so that I could not fully insert them. Used Dremel sanding drum and scotchbrite wheel to relieve inside of tube slightly. This allowed a snug fit and proper insertion of the ends. Used the same tape technique as on the F-789 to space the rivets around the tube. Got both ends marked for drilling.
