I Sikaflexed my test piece back together and it seems just as strong as the original bond. Sikaflex will stick to Sikaflex very well with the proper preparation. I taped up the canopy the same way I had done for the initial application with 3M fine line tape, then a layer of narrow black electic tape, and finaly blue painters tape. Taped up the canopy frame the same way.
