Brief Description: Install Nutplates for Canopy Rail
I used a mix of full size and mini nutplates to secure the canopy slide rail. I drilled the fuselage for the full size nutplates using a jig from outside. For the minis I put a screw in a nutplate to use as a jig, drilled the first leg and then had Frances insert a cleco from inside so I could drill the second leg. Deburred all the holes and prepared the nutplates by running a screw through them. Countersunk the slide track for the screws. Installed the nutplates by back riveting from inside while Frances held the bucking bar on the outside. All nutplates installed and rail is now secured with screws.
