I delayed riveting the canopy rails so they would be removable for this operation as well as installing the canopy tracks. Took the rails off and deburred the holes, also use the stepdrill to create an access for the nuts on the roll bar bolts. Reassembled and clamped the spacers in place then used a drill to mark the spacers for drilling. Drilled all four spacers to #40.
Roll bar is too wide from the factory. Tried to bend manually as described in plans, no success. Read Wirejock builders log about using come-along to pull it in. Pulled in and measured distance before releasing gently. Took several repetitions to get measured width correct. Refit roll bar to fuselage to be certain it fits.
