Took the tail wheel spring an dmounts to a friend to sandblast in preparation for powder coating. Sent the parts out to a local shop and got them back looking good.
Drilled the right side upper J-channel using the same technique as the left. Made a clamping rig to help hold the J-channel tight to the skin to help with alignment. Lower J-channels were more of a chalenge to keep aligned, used a towel over the skin edge to protect my arm as I held the channel for drilling. Apparently I drilled one hole in the left lower J-channel in a previous session but didn't cleco it. As I worked from aft forward the channel moved a bit and resulted in a figure 8 on the previously drilled hole. I will add a rivet on either side of the bad hole.
