The fit of the firewall recess was good most of the way around. The top holes on the left and right sides did not line up well at all. Did some research and found other had the same problem. Most advice was to massage until it fit. The holes needed to move outboard to line up with the firewall holes, so I worked to change the radius of the bend on the flange near the holes. After many trial and error fits , this process helped get the holes closer to alignment. To get the last part of the movement I used some round stock and "dimpled" the side near the holes to move them further outboard. Finally got a decent fit and drilled the firewall recess to the firewall. Then disassembled all the parts to prep for primer.
