Brief Description:  Drill Right Flap

I removed the left flap and deburred all the holes in the hinge.

Made the aileron stops from 5/8 by 3/8 nylon spacers from the aviation department at Lowes. They had 1/4 inch holes, so I used some aluminum tubing to make a bushing to reduce the holes for a -3 bolt. Left stop is good but right is slightly too small and a bolt on the inboard aileron bracket hits. Will have to find some 3/4 inch spacers and try those.

Set up to drill the right flap hinge went much faster, the flap brace only required a slight bend to align it and this flap has the stock width hinge. As before I set the aileron to neutral with both jigs, cleco'd on the skin, double checked all alignment and spacing, and securely clamped the hinge to the wing. I made a tool from wire for Frances to use in holding the flap hinge tight to the flap brace during drilling. Drilled as on the left, inserting cleco's as I went. Removed the flap and deburred all holes, no edge distance issue, this flap lined up with holes right on the centerline of the hinge.
