I got the nutplate I was missing in the mail and completed riveting the reinforcements to the spar. Then assembled the aileron for riveting the skin to the spar.
I re-built the support for the aileron from 2x4 and 4x4 lumber clamped to the bench. Lesson learned while working on the other aileron was to screw the spar to the support structure to keep the work solidly mounted. Kevin ran the gun and I bucked from inside the aileron. With the work secure we switched the -4 rivet length called out in the plans for a -4.5 as done on the right aileron and got good shop heads. We finished all the rivets on the spar with no bad rivets.
Also riveted the top of the forward skin to the ribs.
