Brief Description: Install Left Tank Ribs with Sealant
Made up a more secure mounting for tank near drain flange and used a different yoke on the squeezer and successfully set the four rivets for the tank drain. Used excess sealant to cove shop heads.
Wiped down skin mating areas with MEK then ran tape along rib lines. Prepared two 80 gram batches of sealant. Mixed first batch and Frances and I worked together to butter ribs and skin and install ribs with a couple of cleco's from inside the tank. I mixed second batch as we got close to end of first batch and we got all ribs installed. Working on opposite sides of the bench we pressed the skin down onto the ribs and worked together to align the ribs so I could insert cleco's. Got the top of the tank done with 100% clecos, then we repeated the process for the bottom side. Pulled the inside cleco's and moved them to the outside of tank. I used a popsicle stick to make smooth fillets around each rib.
