Brief Description:  Left side rudder

Match drilled all the left rudder half stiffeners to the skin. My buddy Kevin was here to help with deburring all the holes in the stiffeners and skin. We scuffed all parts with scotchbrite and proceeded to dimple the left and right side skins and stiffeners. Used a combination of the squeezer and C-frame to dimple. Once all dimpling was complete I washed the parts with Dawn soap and water. Set the parts out to air dry while we got out the down-draft painting table and I donned protective gear. We masked off the edges of the skins as these will require drilling/deburring and dimpling later in the rudder construction process. I sprayed the parts with a coat of NAPA 7220 self-etching primer. Used the same technique as the elevator and rudder to scufff and paint only the skin that will come in contact with the stiffeners, leaving untouched Alclad in other areas.
