Brief Description:  Complete Rivet Bottom Skin on Stab

Did short sessions on the 24th and 25th adding more flush rivets to the skin. Read in VAF forums on a technique to stagger rivets as you drive them vs. going right down the line. This worked well and bottom of stab looks very smooth. Had one bad shop head on the bottom, we successfully drilled it and replaced it. Finished the bottom of the skin and decided to flip and start on top skin. First rivet we chose was intersection of spar and ribs. We inserted wrong length rivet (3.5 like all the other rivets in this area EXCEPT this one). Drove it in and didn't realize the mistake until we looked at the too small shop head. Drilling did not go as well as the rivet we replaced on the bottom of the stab, and when we finally got the rivet out, the hole was slightly oversize and elongated. Checked the MILSPEC and VAF forums for advice, and decided to drill over for an "oops" rivet. Ordered a set of "oops" rivets from Avery tools.
