Brief Description: Gear leg fairing sanding and filling
Today I sanded the gear leg fairings with 180 grit to a dull finish, this insures the filler will adhere well over the hinge rivet line and prepare the fairings for shelling with epoxy to fill the pin holes. I use two part Super-Fill because it is light, sticks like crazy, does not shrink and sand reasonably well. I have a new rule in the plane to never use any paint or epoxy product that is not 2 part catalyst hardened. These products are far superior to air dry products in serviceability. I also did some more sanding and filling on the wheel fairings.
