Brief Description:  Coating the cowl with epoxy

Today I put the first coat of epoxy on the upper and lower cowl. I used West 105 with 205 hardener, applied with a squeegee over the entire exterior. This is the first of three coats used to fill the pin holes in the honeycomb epoxy glass cowl. I also added screw support pads on the leg fairing intersection cuffs using a mixture of milled fiber and epoxy mix. This is very strong and will allow for deep countersinking of the screws to make them flush, yet add strength to the connection.
