I added the connector shell to the stick connector and mounted the assembly with those crummy, hard to use sub D hex/socket nut mounts. The bottom screw was really tough to get in, but finally managed it using a hemostat to hold the nut. There is no connector shell on rear facing connector for strain relief, so I provided strain relief using a ties wrap mount directly behind it and clamping down the cable there.
