Brief Description: GPS and XM Weather antenna mounting brackets
I bought a little 30” brake at Harbor Freight so I could make these little antenna mounts. I tried the block and hammer method and although the parts were usable, they looked like S**T. I was really surprised how well this little brake made perfect bends once I figured out the setback dimension. Well the results were great and you can see in the pictures, and although I hate buying China crap tools, this one is a keeper. The mounts are standard .040 2024 with 1/8” rivets to hold the two pieces together and 8-32 platenuts to mount them to the firewall. I made a backup plate to stiffen the mount to the thin Stainless steel firewall. I think the picture tell the story.
