Brief Description:  Trim indicator light mounting

After my call to Grand Rapids Technology regarding the Auxiliary port configuration, it became apparent there are not enough ports in the EIS 4000 to handle the fuel tank gauges, trims indicators, fuel pressure sensor, hall effect and the manifold pressure. The only solution was to mount the trim indicators in the panel to open up two ports in the AFIS. This meant pulling out the panel to cut two rectangular holes for the trim lights. It sure doesn’t add to the beauty of the panel, but I wasn’t about to give up any of these indicators. As a warning to those using a GRT 4000EM, there are only 6 configurable ports and most of those are needed for engine instruments if you have an injected engine with fuel flow. Plan on using the indicators that come with the electric trims!!!
Well the indicators are mounted after carefully drilling corner holes and hand cutting and filing out the rectangular holes. I will wire them and the last of the sensors mentioned above the next time in the shop.
