Today I wanted to get the firewall stuff done. This included fabrication of the brake bracket and finishing the firewall recess box. The bracket is just a finishing and countersinking operation, and the firewall recess requires fitting, drilling, riveting and dimpling. Once it gets mounted for the firewall the final time it will get put in place with fire retardant Pro-Seal and riveted in place. This insures not of the nasty’s in the engine compartment can get into the cockpit.
