Worked on the right elevator today because I am still waiting for the Akzo epoxy primer from Aircraft Spruce. I decided the Variprime is just not tough enough and will not stand up to solvents or gas, so hence the switch. I don’t know why folks use this stuff, epoxy is much tougher. At any rate I made all the stiffeners for the right elevator, buffed the edges and matched drilled them to the 701R skin. Very boring but important work, so I took my time and made all on them to perfection. Maybe the primer will show tomorrow and I can prime and then start doing some assembly work.
