Brief Description: Ordered Empennage Kit from Vans Aircraft
Today I got the preview plans package from Vans's with the options and order forms. I pretty much knew everything I needed to order the empennage, but I wanted to review it all in detail. I have also decided to build the standard kit vs. the quick build for a number of reasons. The most obvious is that I will know every rivet and bolt in the plane and be much more qualified to maintain it, but it also is substantial cost savings that I rather use for other things, including a trip or two a year with my wife. Since I am semi-retired I think this make sense and besides, it’s not the destination, it’s the journey.
