Brief Description:  Installing the Magnetometer

I made up a mounting plate system for the magnetometer after seeing a similar adaptation on another builders site. It must be angle adjustable so it matches the inclination of the instrument panel exactly within .5 degrees. As you can see it is just an aluminum plate with nylon hardware to hold the magnetometer down and brass screws for the angle adjustment. I also will replace the hinge pin with a brass on so there is nothing magnetic in the area of the magnetometer. I'll use a little lock-tite on the brass machine screws to keep them in place after final adjustment. The last thing to do is match the angle to the GRT AFIS on the panel and of course make the cable to get the signals there.
