This is how to do weight and balance the easy way. I borrowed some precision NASCAR scales for a buddy that is in the NASCAR business and made some wood ramps to get the plane up on the scales. You zero the scales fist with the controller and pull the plane up on the scales. That’s it! Oh yeah, the plane needs to be completely empty of fuel, but full oil. And the weights are:
Nose wheel: 258 Left wheel: 434 Right wheel: 434
Total Empty: 1126
This is about 6 pounds more than I hoped, but with the extra hand brakes and the Classic Aero interior, it is about right.
