Brief Description:  Engine Arrived

The engine arrived today. The garage is stuffed to the gills and the finish kit and ala carte firewall forward components arrive sometime this month. I really need to clean the garage. I hope I can make it all fit!

The engine is an Aero Sport Power IO-360-M!S with dual Pmags, Airflow Performance FM200 fuel Injection (requires a purge but no dedicated return line plumbed directly into a tank), a Planepower 60A alternator and a Skytec starter. I was hoping that the Airflow Performance pump that I ordered from Aero Sport was the new style, but it appears to be the older style that requires me to make all of the bends. I look forward to the challenge! :-)

I spent the last weekend in Spartanburg, SC attending the Fuel Injection 101 Class offered by Colleen and Don Rivera at Airflow Performance. I highly recommend it! It began Friday evening and ended at noon on Sunday. The Riveras provided all of the meals as part of the tuition. Significant others not attending the class were invited to the lunches and dinners. Ginger had a great time and now wants us to build an RV10 next. Don and Kyle taught the class which is a mix of classroom and hands-on work on the flow bench. I went in with no knowledge at all while most everyone else had built at least one plane and some were multiple offenders. I was able to keep up and I think everyone else got what they were looking for out of the class as well.
