Brief Description: Final Fit Forward Canopy to Frame

On Thursday, I ordered my Sika 295 UV, 205 Cleaner/Activator, and 209 Primer from Merritt Supply. I was going to purchase from another company when I found a VAF post recommending a second company. The sole reply to that post recommended Merritt Supply as being less expensive than both #1 & #2. Since Merritt is in FL, I placed the order with them and saved a LOT. They shipped FedEx yesterday and I recieved it today while cutting the canopy. I highly recommend Merritt Supply. Pete came over today and I had the goal of finish fitting the front portion of the canopy to the frame in preparation for the Sika. After several iterations of placing the canopy on the fuselage, taping the cut line, moving the canopy onto the sawhorses in the driveway, cutting, sanding, etc., I am pleased to say that it is ready for finish sanding, taping and then Sika. I need to finish the canopy frame, get the "muffin" fans from Stein and mount them in the glareshield and install the glareshield cover before I can Sika the canopy. I'll work on knocking some of that out tomorrow. My Aircraft Spruce order should arrive on Monday with my fiberglass stuff and the hinges for the wingtip attachments.
