Brief Description:  Visit from Joe and More Canopy Frame

I bolted the VP-X Pro into place. Joe came by to bring the Dynon amp shunt he received to replace the one I gave him. He also brought a threaded rod and clevis kit for me to use on the flap position sensor. He explained how he mounted the Ray Allen POS-12. I took the opportunity to hold him hostage for the remainder of the afternoon and ask him a million questions. He also helped align the roller catches that get bolted to the aft canopy frame bows. Joe answered all of my questions and made a lot of suggestions. First, he recommended that I remove the VP-X Pro from the top of the rails I installed to mount it on. I will install four nutplates on the rails and bolt the VP-X to the rails from the underside. We discussed where to install the firewall pass-thru, how to mount the MAP sensor, the ANL current limiter and amp shunt, and the comm, transponder, and ADSB antennae. We reviewed where I should use terminal boards and how to construct the shelf for the ADAHRS. We discussed the wiring using the VP-X package I had and estimated how many D-sub pins and connectors I need to order. I am going to remove the transducer manifold (again) and cut the top mount off. I will reinstall the bottom two transducer mounts for the oil and fuel transducers and put a bolt in the now unused upper hole in firewall. I will install the third mount on the copilot side of the firewall to use for the manifold pressure transducer and connecting the two P-mags. My order from B&C arrived today with my oil filter adaptor, ANL current limiter, battery cables, and 24/24 tab ground block.
