Brief Description:  Center Channel, Forward Section Riveted

It appears as though I am progressing backwards! After I riveted the angle brackets to the center channel and rear canopy bow, I removed the canopy frame assembly from the fuselage (step one backwards). I then removed the forward assembly of subpanel, ribs etc. so that I could rivet it together (step two backwards). While it was out, I riveted the longeron to the F-902 on either side. I riveted the passenger side of the forward assembly together and then reinstalled it in the fuselage. I then began riveting the pilot side rib to the panel, and then the panel to the fuselage. To do this, I had to remove the air vents from both sides (step three backwards). The pilot side riveted fairly well, although I had to reverse the direction of the rivets after the first three because I could not get the rivet set on them. Five of the nine rivets on the passenger side were not so great. One was bad enough that I tried to drill it out, but was unable. I was worried that I would cause more damage trying to remove it. It is in there, but it is ugly. To get the ribs riveted to the firewall, I had to remove the engine mount (step four backwards). Oh well, it was nice having it out of the house while it lasted. I also have a better idea now where things will go on the firewall.
