Brief Description:  Forward Covers, Electric Flaps

I started working on the Forward Covers and Fuel Pump Installation. I cut the F-782C and F-983C as specified in the High Pressure Fuel Pump Installation OP-21. I finally got around to riveting the firewall recess. I took a couple of whacks at it, because I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and the two sides overlapped in different order. Practice makes perfect or at least somewhat enlarged rivet holes. I'm on call again, so I didn't want to get the paint gun set up and risk getting paged. The covers are ready to be primed, painted and riveted together. I moved on to the electric flaps. I drilled the holes in the clevis ends of the flap actuator out to 1/4". I drilled the holes in the F-680 block and then cut it in half. I drilled the hole for the safety wire in the flap motor shaft, but all of my safety wire is at the hangar. I need to remember to bring some home. I installed the flap actuator in the baggage compartment. I marked the forward corner of the F-748 Cover and cut it-and then realized that I had never centered the F-680 block. As such, my cut is a little oversized. I am waiting until I get the flap mechanism fit before I decide whether to purchase a new F-748. I fabricated the F-766C plate and drilled the index hole. I made the F-766B Angle, F-785B Attach Angle, the F-766D Spacer, and F-767 Attach Plate. I need to do a little research before proceeding. I hope to get the covers primed and riveted tomorrow.
