Brief Description:  Left Tank Capacitance Plates and End Ribs

I missed working on the plane last night due to an EAA Chapter 193 Officers' Meeting. Back at it tonight. I had a heck of a time getting the inboard capacitance plate wired. I crimped the final connector without any issue and soldered both connectors for good measure. I finally got it wired and then decided I didn't like the orientation of the connectors. I couldn't get the nut loose enough to allow the connectors to rotate to a new position. Much grunting and cursing later, I decided that I had them "good enough." I checked the continuity with a multimeter and I had continuity where I should and didn't have it where I shouldn't. Time to seal and rivet the end ribs and bend up the end of the vent tube. I got both ribs riveted and the vent tube connected to its fitting. I sealed the wire connectors and vent tube fitting with proseal and used proseal to hold the wire to vent tube where it wraps. I started encapsulating the rivet heads and making the fillets. It was getting early in the morning so I called it quits. Tonight, I will finish the fillets, install the tank attach plates and flop tube, install the rear baffle and seal the access plate. The end is in sight. If I can get that done, I hope to prime the parts to the leading edge on Sunday. I need to fly the Cessna as well. Two weeks is much too long without flying!
