I used the "Checkoway Method" as described by Ethan Jacoby and Andrew N999ZA on their build sites to construct the z-brackets. I offset the holes for the nutplates by just under 1/16" (let's call it 3/32") to allow for the socket head and the blind rivet puller. The most inboard bracket has its holes moved AWAY from the web while the rest have their holes moved CLOSER to the web. Ethan warned about being careful with the measurements as too close will not allow the platenuts to attach. I think mine turned out ok. I primed the parts and riveted the platenuts to the brackets. Two of my countersinks on the brackets were a little deep but I think that I'm ok. I used my deburring tool to countersink the two outmost holes on the main spar and then primed the bare metal.
