Brief Description:  Elevator Tips

I filed the lead counterbalance weights to match the contour of the skins. I drilled the fiberglass tips to #40 and then #30 and dimpled the holes in the aluminum with the pneumatic squeezer and the pop rivet dimpler. I used a conical grinding stone in my Dremel tool to countersink the fiberglass tips. This worked quite well but I may need to purchase a new Dremel tooll as my old one stopped working today. Perhaps new brushes will do the trick. I need to buy some E6000 (Shoe Goo) to attach the 1/8" ID aluminum washers to the inside of the fiberglass tips. I am going to use the washers rather than an aluminum strip to reinforce the fiberglass. Ethan Jacoby did this and I stole the idea from his build log. I need to find the old camera or the cord to charge the new one as I am getting behind on photos!
