Brief Description:  Finished Leading Edge of Right Elevator

I bent the final two edges of the trim tab. I am withholding judgment on whether or not it was a success until later. I moved on to finishing the leading edge of the right elevator. I thought preparing the parts for primer was my least favorite task, but rolling the leading edges is now number 1. I was told it was a two person task and I am one person short and too impatient to wait. I got it rolled around and clecoed together. I then remembered seeing another build log (can't remember which one) where they used tape to hold the edges together (in conjunction with the clecos) while they riveted. That helped immensely, but it was still a royal pain. I didn't like how it turned out so I went back and added additional rivets between the original ones. The end result is now acceptable. With the right elevator finished, I moved on to the left elevator. I began installing the trim servo. I need to hook it up and check for proper clearance and operation. On an only somewhat related note, I ordered my Van's Aircraft Sun-N-Fun Banquet tickets. I can't wait. On an even less related note, I am thinking of buying a Cessna 140 to fly until the RV is ready to go. If anyone has an opinion one way or the other (Great idea! You can sell it when the RV is nearly done! Or, forget it! You'll never finish the RV if you spend your time/money on the Cessna), feel free to drop me a line.
