I had a few hours in the morning to begin construction before leaving to attend the funeral of a friend that was murdered last week. He survived two two tours in Iraq only to come home and be killed by a POS while patrolling a crime ridden area of Orlando. Trying to distract myself, I began by breaking the edges of the HS-609PP with a Vixen file and then making a few passes over the Scotchbrite wheel. I found a socket to use as a template to round the ends of the reinforcement bars to the proper radius. I used a Scotchbrite pad to give them a "satin finish" and then clecoed them into HS-603PP and finaled drilled them to #30. I need to order more clecos as I am woefully understocked at the moment. Until my order arrives I may try to borrow some from my neighbor whose RV7 is completed and flying.
