Brief Description: Ran Strobe Wire to Tail, Installed Fuel Lines
I stopped at Fastenal during my lunch break the other day and purchased some nylon #10 screws and nuts to mount the ADAHRS to the tray. They didn't have nylon washers, so I picked them up from Home Depot (which had washers and nuts but no screws). I made two loops from scrap aluminum strap to hold the static line tubing to the side of the fuse between the static port and bulkhead and then between the bulkhead and ADAHRS. I will rivet them in place when I rivet on the top skin. I cut the tubing to length and attached it to the ADAHRS. Pete and I then drilled holes in the aft bulkheads and installed snap bushings to run the tail strobe wiring and elevator trim wiring. We drilled a hole in the center of the lower rudder cap and installed a grommet through which we will run the wiring to the tail light. We then installed the fuel lines I purchased from TS Flightlines. We drilled out the brackets on the forward spar so that the fittings could pass through, installed grommets, and then Pete climbed into the fuse and tightened everything down. After Pete left, I trimmed another 3/16" from the lower rudder cap to increase the clearance between the cap and tail spring. I received an invoice from Steinair yesterday, so time to send them some money. Things are progressing!
