Brief Description: Platenuts on HS and VS, Mounted Vert Stab
I saw Pat Lee walking his dog past my house this morning and managed to coerce him to come take a look at my project. I showed him where I thought I needed to trim the front spar on the VS and he agreed. He has a vested interest in my building a solid plane as I've asked him to perform the first flight! While the stab was on the bench, I added the platenuts for the empennage fairing. I also riveted the platenuts to the top of the horizontal stab. I riveted the bracket to the front spar of the VS and then bolted the VS to the fuselage. I hung the rudder and called it a night. I still need to torgue a couple of bolts and have a lot of fiberglass work to do. I got another fuel line from Tom at TS Flightlines today. I also got a revised panel design from Jed at Stein Air. I really like it. I forwarded the design to Pat and Joe and asked for their feedback.
