Brief Description:  Vertical Stabilizer Fiberglass Cap and F-712D

I still can't find where I hid the directions for installing the Airflow Performance fuel pump so I decided to work on attaching the fiberglass cap to the vertical stabilizer. It is a very poor fit. I used my Avery pins to temporarily attach the rudder to the VS and then aligned the VS cap with the rudder cap which I previously riveted to the rudder. I drilled the VS cap and then used rivet washers attached with E6000 adhesive to serve as backing plates for the CS4 rivets inside the fiberglass cap. I got impatient and actually knocked three of them off while riveting. I think that when I glass the cap to the VS, it should be just fine. I traced and cut a piece of balsa wood to "cap" the end of the cap. I then realized that I never fabricated the F-712D Up Elevator Stop. I found the angle stock and marked and cut it to size. My Ridgid bandsaw blade guide apparently was constructed of some unknown substance that is similar in appearance to pot metal but far more fragile (hard to imagine). It snapped off prior to cutting. The saw actually cut better without it. I hit the Stop with some rattle can primer and let it sit overnight to dry.
